Is there still a need for promotional t-shirts?

Promotional t-shirts have always been a popular tool in promotional marketing campaigns but are they still needed? With cheaper and just as effective promotional tools on the market such as key rings, pens and logo bugs, some may find it difficult to see why they should use part of their marketing budget on a printed promotional t-shirt. Even though some may see promotional t-shirts and garments as an expensive option, but once you go through all the positives you’ll begin to realise why they are still and will always be used as a promotional vessel.
First and most important is the fact that a promotional garment such as a printed t-shirt, is a very visual way to advertise and event or promote a product at a busy exhibition or event.
Imagine walking around a busy exhibition hall, which people do you notice the most? The generic shirt, tie & trousers or the people wearing a brightly coloured and loud designed promotional t-shirt.
Printed t-shirts aren’t just used for promotional use. They can also be used as staff work wear or to promote a special cause. This is a great way to show uniformity in an office or united support for a special cause such as a charity.

Advertise your seasonal promotions with printed t shirts

Possibly one of the most cost effective ways of mass advertising, printed t-shirts turn your staff into walking, talking, advertising boards. A t-shirt is just a blank canvas for all your creative promotional ideas.
It can be quite easy to overlook printed t-shirts as an effective marketing tool as companies can be lead into the very expensive world of online or print advertising. These methods are great for companies with a big marketing budget, but for something which isn’t going to break the bank and that has been proven to work, try printed t-shirts.
Whether you are at an event or exhibition, advertising a sale in a retail outlet or promoting awareness for a charity or cause, printed t-shirts are perfect.

Use printed t-shirts to support a charity or a cause

Last weekend I took part in the Loughborough Santa Fun Run. An event organised by the rotary club of Loughborough, where we all dress up as Santa and run (or walk) through the town centre to raise money for various charities. At the start of the race and during the race I noticed that a lot of participants were wearing printed t-shirts to support a charity or a cause. This made me think what a great idea that was! There were over 1000 runners and even more watching the event. For those who were wearing printed t shirts for their specific charity or cause, this was a great way to gain exposure and promote awareness to literally thousands of people.

Get prepared for the sales with printed t shirts

Get ready for the sales with printed t shirts

It’s the festive season and we’re all (well some of us!) looking forward to Christmas, but don’t let this distract you from organising your promotions for 2012. If you’re planning to start the year with a sale in a retail outlet then why not get some t-shirts printed to advertise this. A white t shirt printed with some vivid and colourful writing can go a long way to reinforce your statement.

Not just used for sales, printed t shirts can be used for any big promotions you may have during the year. Sports events, sales, trade shows, exhibitions in 2012 can all be promoted using a printed t-shirt. If you’re worried about the cost then don’t be! Promotional t shirts are generally quite cheap these days so they would fit into almost any marketing and advertising campaign.

4 different ways to personalise a t-shirt

Personalised t-shirts are a highly visible and cost effective way of mass marketing. Personalising your t-shirt is not as clear cut as it sounds. There are a number of different ways to personalise t-shirts as it all depends on what type of t-shirt, where or how they are going to be used and what size your budget is. Here are four of the main t-shirt personalisation techniques:

Screen printed t-shirts - Screen printing is the perfect choice for large quantities of t-shirts. It provides a really high quality finish and a type of textured print. The only downside to screen printing is that there is an initial set-up cost for a screen of £35, but when this is added onto a total order for a thousand t-shirts this cost seems minimal.

Flexi printed t-shirts - Flexi printing is ideally suited to stag party or hen night t-shirts, where each garment is personalised with a different name or number. Flexi printing involves having the separate letters of text cut out from a piece of vinyl and then being heat applied to the garment.

Digitally printed t-shirts - Digitally printing onto a t-shirt is probably the cheapest form of personalisation on a small number of t-shirts. A digital image is simply printed onto special transfer paper and is then heat applied to the chosen garment. If you are looking for a full colour image to be printed onto a t-shirt then digital transfer print is the solution.

Embroidered t-shirts - Embroidery is normally reserved for more quality garments such as staff work wear or sports team uniforms. The finish on an embroidered garment is of the highest quality.
